I love my crazy mix breed puppy, Diogee. He's not so much a puppy anymore.
The picture above was taken at my parent's house. We were staying over for 4th of July fireworks show. My mom walked into the kitchen and started to read the paper, looked over and saw him licking the slider door.
With Diogee making a list of how interesting he is would be impossible but Hey! It's worth a shot!
Things I find out about my dog everyday:
Hard to tell in the pictures but Diogee has a very special tail. It curls onto his back and plumes outward like a peacock (or a chow). My roommates tried to flatten it when we first got him. It made him look girly!
Not sure why exactly but he use to lick all the furniture and moldings in the house. Territorial, maybe? At least he didn't pee on anything. Everything has been licked now so he's moved on.
Tomas's dad came and painted our cement room with textured paint. After it dried, Diogee came under my desk and scraped the paint off the wall using his bottom teeth. (It's non-toxic paint btw)
Once Diogee was barking so loudly at a cat that decided it wanted to just sit in the backyard. So I let Diogee out on his lead to chase the cat away. Diogee literally ran into the cat. Poor cat never saw it coming (and never came back).
One time I accidentally placed my sewing pin cushion in the front of the bottom drawer of my crafting cart. Diogee took it out and pulled all the needles out (I use little pieces of thread to keep the needles accessable). Diogee was fine but I learned to keep my pin cushion somewhere else.
Ever since he got his nails trimmed for the first time, he chews his nails when he gets bored.
Paper towel rolls & plastic bottles, be beware!! Diogee loves to tear into those.
He can play ball by himself. He throws the ball behind him at the wall and then runs after it.
If Diogee's not done with you he'll grab you with his front paws like a 3 yr old latches onto your leg.
He loves to lick! Did I forget to mention that? Any exposed body part is in danger of getting licked. Diogee kisses!!
He doesn't like to eat his food unless someone is in the house.
There are LED blue lights coming up from the ground at the bus stop. Diogee is really weary of them.
He's not a fan of moving water (i.e. the ocean). But he got a few inches into our local lake and licked it.
Apparently this is totally normal but Diogee likes to roll onto dead bugs. Scent of a Bug (For Puppy)
We have a rope swing in the backyard. Tomas will hop on and Diogee will swing him.
At night he has little fits of rolling, bicycling, and growling on the carpet. Sometimes chasing his tail if it's being bad!
An open lap is an open invitation for Diogee lovin'!
Diogee doesn't really have the attention span to remember a lot of commands (Down and a short Sit on a good day) but one that's very familiar is "Out." According to him, the first time means get off the furniture or get out from underneath the desk. Second time means get back some more. And the third or fourth time means get out of the room (with a pitiful sad face and a tail between his legs "Do you really want me to go?"). After about 5-10 min. you'll see him start to creep in a bit in the hopes that you've forgotten you asked him to leave.
